Common Tension Locations

  • Jaw - Often linked to unexpressed words
  • Shoulders - Carrying too much responsibility
  • Stomach - Anxiety and fear
  • Lower back - Feeling unsupported

The Tension Mapping Exercise

  1. Lie down comfortably
  2. Close your eyes
  3. Mentally scan from head to toe
  4. Note where you feel tightness
  5. Draw a simple body outline and mark your spots

Once you know your patterns, you can target them with breath, movement, or massage.
