The "Worried Mind" Letter Technique
Sometimes the best way to deal with anxious thoughts is to write them down.
How It Works
- Set a timer for 10 minutes
- Write a letter that begins: "Dear Worried Mind, I hear you saying..."
- Let everything pour out without editing
- When done, read it back to yourself
Why It Helps
- Externalizes the anxiety
- Creates distance between you and your thoughts
- Often reveals the core fear beneath the surface
What to Do After
You can keep the letter, burn it, or throw it away. The writing is what matters.
